Thank you Astrid for sending this to me !!!! She looks just like my Eddie !!! She is curiously adorable.

Hello A-Team:

Welcome back !!!! Enough sleeping. Time to get back to learning,

Sew Fun: I cannot thank you enough for the card and Easter Lilly Plant. I was very touched. Believe: I am going to be fine !!!!! They caught the cancer early. Get your mammograms YEARLY! Before break, we learned how to do hems and zippers. You know I had to redo my invisible zipper sample. I will have this for you, on Tuesday. The following students did perfect invisable zippers and deserve applause: Monica, Pedro, Satoe, Peter, Debbie, Sammie. I am so proud of them. They did MUCH better than me !! On Tuesday, we will be practicing buttonholes. The final buttonhole will be put on our bodice jackets !!! Your portfolios are due on Tuesday, April 7. So while you practice buttonholes, I will be grading your portfolios. On Thursday, we will be having our personal image class. Wear a white shirt, or white t-shirt. If you have a questionable outfit that you want analyzed by your peer team, bring it. This class will be very enlightning. By now, you all should have gotten your pattern and fabric for the second module in this course. Remember to pre shrink your fabrics. You will be starting this project on April 14. See your syllabus for details.

Tailoring: Before Break, we worked on our double welt flap pockets. I also showed you how to pattern the upper back for bias hair canvas. Over the break, we had an extra class meeting at a restaurant in El Cajon. I hope this all helped you !!! I had a great time. I hope all of you did, too. This Monday, our tailoring portfolios are due. You only have 4 samples to turn in: 1. The back vent with the mitered corner. 2. One 8 ½ by 11 sheet with 3 buttonholes: lipped, cord bound, and corded machine made. 3. Welt Pocket. 4. Double Welt Flap Pocket. No excuses. You had the entire break to work on this and prepare your fabric for your tailored jackets. Your muslin toiles were fitted. Your patterns should have been corrected. You should have started your layout and cutting over the break. I do hope to teach you how to tailor mark your garments, on Monday. I am SO excited !!!!
