Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans. John Lennon
Sew Fun: I am surprised that students want to leave class early. In response to this, if you want to leave early, you need to sign out the correct time. Next Tuesday, in particular, leaving early would cause a problem. I have a guest speaker from 7:30 pm to 9 PM. This class is a major serger class. You will be able to test out 4 stitches on the school’s Imagine sergers and the cover stitch on an Evolve. The Rupleys will demonstrate what else the Imagines can do. You can do these stitches on any basic serger. This class is NOT to be missed. Don’t bring your machines. Just bring your cut 9 by 4’s. You will need your straight grain, bias, and knit fabrics. Next Thursday, we will be back to learning on the straight stitch machine. We will be making faced V-necklines. We will be putting together our bodice jacket facings. I also have a power point to show you concerning how to read pattern envelopes. You will need to bring your McCall’s 6972 pattern.
March 14th, is Sew Pro’s trip to LA. I hope you all signed up for it. This is a great place to buy your fabric and notions for your apparel construction project. My tailoring class will be buying their tailoring fabrics & notions in LA. This is also a great learning experience for those who what to join us for this part of the LA tour.
Tailoring: On Tuesday, you have choices. You can unsew your muslin toile. Or you can finish cutting your sewing operation patterns. Starting Wednesday, we will be making mitered corners, and corded buttonholes by machine.
SEE YOU ALL IN CLASS !!!!!!
