Last Email of the Semester

Hi A-Team:

This is the last email of the semester. Next week is the last week of class. Come to class. You need the hours to get the grade. I will pick up writing to the blog at the end of August, just before the Fall courses begin. I already had the fall flyers up on the blog. Through the coming weeks, I will get up the Syllabi, Advanced Portfolio Patterns in Beta form, and the new Classroom Etiquette. I just can’t tell you my timing and action. I do plan to relax a bit. Keep checking the right hand column.

Pictures of the week:

Portfolio: Last week we learned how to hand sew various closures, buttons, snaps and sequins. We also learned how to sew V-necklines, inseam pockets and patch pockets. This final week of class, we will concentrate on zippers and buttonholes. These are very important operations to learn. I will need to see your portfolios on Thursday for grading. Pictures will be taken.

First Pattern: Last week we attached our collar and collar band to our shirts. This final week of class, we will finish up the shirts by making the buttonholes and sewing on the buttons. Pictures will be taken for grading during Wednesday evening’s class.

On Wednesday, July 30th, Jeanne Reith’s Sewn Product Class is going to be selling their products. Stop by their class at 2 PM to check this out and purchase !!!!! What fun !!!!!!

Thread Bag directions from Chris. Chris supplied 2 different directions. THANK YOU CHRIS !!!!!!
