Final Week of Summer Classes

Hi A-Team:

Monday begins our final week of classes. Hope to see you all there !!!! I am busy trying to catch up to all of you who are so far ahead in your projects. So this email, will short and sweet.

BFC Creations Purse: I have changed the way I am going to grade this course. I will tell you all about it in class. You will be happy !!!!! Bring in your embroidery purse fronts – finished or not. Remember: grading is interdependent on your attendance. So Come to class this week. Total hours needed: 53. I need to give a public shout out to Jill and Malvyn. Because of them, I made the 12 patterns necessary to finish the medium size purse. They are ready for you to copy. If you are doing a small or a large, you can size down or up accordingly. MY patterns will stand as a reminder of what your true needs are.

Drape Drape: This class required one toile and one final garment. Many of you did more !!!!! I am proud of all of you !!!!! Remember: grading is interdependent on your attendance. So Come to class this week. Total hours needed: 53. I need to give a public shout out to Elena and Mildred. My husband LOVED the changes you made to the back of my vest. Thank you again………

Other Thoughts:

I caught a glimpse of season 12 of Project Runway on the Lifetime network on Thursday night. There promises to be lots of drama this season……. Tim Gunn has been given a lot more stage presence. He absolutely makes the show work !!!!!!!!

I can’t remember who told me about this site. These dressforms were used in the program: Fashion Star. www.frencheuropeandressforms.com.

The following is from a student of mine. This will get you to see the movie !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT IS a TERRIFIC movie !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Joan – In your review of the movie, Long Ranger, you neglected to mention the main reason to see it – the Long Ranger theme at the end. As a trivia question for your class, you can ask for the name of the music, or composer, or when it was written. (Finale for the overture to the opera William Tell by Rossini, 1829).
